Bergfest Riesneralm: Festival among the mountains

A true highlight of the alpine summer awaits visitors on August 9, 2026, at the traditional Bergfest Riesneralm. The festival takes place high above Donnersbachwald at the scenic Riesneralm mountain plateau at 1,900 meters above sea level.

The musical highlight of the day will be a live concert by the popular Austrian folk band Die Grubertaler. With breathtaking alpine views and free admission to the concert, the event promises a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike.

Program:

• 10:00 AM – Musical opening with the yodeling brass duo Ewald & Martin
• 11:00 AM – Mountain mass accompanied by the band of Musikverein Donnersbachwald
• 12:30 PM – Open-air concert on the summit plateau with Die Grubertaler (free admission)

The festival is one of the most popular summer events in the Schladming-Dachstein region, combining traditional alpine culture, live music, and spectacular mountain scenery.
