Bicycle tours
The Schladming-Dachstein area provides an ideal destination not only for ski fans, but also for those who visit the region in the summer. They can chose from a wide range of activities: from outdoor activities to relaxing in a peaceful environment.
Ennsradweg cycle route (263 km)
On of the most beautiful cycle routes which goes along the river and passes through 3 counties: Salzburg, Styria and Upper Austria. The Ennsradweg cycle route starts at an altitude of 1200 m at Flachauwinkl in Salzburg and ends in Enns at a height of 281 m.
The first stage is dominated by the magnificent highland, several lakes and the quietly flowing river Enns. We get to the medieval city of Schladming and to Haus im Ennstal where SissiPark is located between the rigorous Dachstein Glacier to the left and the dark, crystalline rock of the Low Tauern to the right. The road gets broader and leads to the most spectacular stage of the tour at the Trautenfels castle. At the entrance of the Gesäuse National Park the so far quiet river Enns becomes speedy and rumbling.
The road guides us next to sleepy villages and romantic cities like the old market town of Steyr, until we reach the cycle route along the Danube. The Ennsradweg cycle route is symbolized with a “R7“ in Styria.
