The Schladming-Dachstein area is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe; in the winter for the skiers and in the summer for hikers. Just light day of trekking or more challenging hiking trails: everyone will find a suitable trail for their needs.

Pool in Haus – Weißenbach – Wöhrerhof – Haus: easy

The walk begins next to the pool in Haus. We walk along the football field heading Weißenbacherstraße. After the Enns bridge we walk along the train route and the Enn passing Wöhrnehof. Passing via Enns bridge we get to a narrow road along which we get back to our take-off. Throughout the whole stroll we have a beautiful view of the Hauser Kaibling.

Bärfallspitze mountain trip: difficulty level middle

  • Duration: appr. 4 hrs
  • Lowest point: 1772 m

The tour starts form the Tauern Seilbahn cable car which is situated 200 metres from the SissiPark (free to use with a Summercard). From the hill station the road passes the Schaffsinn-tour where you can meet sheep along the way. From Rossfeldsattel we only have to follow the sign till we reach the Bärfallspitze in app. 45 minutes. From here we get a wonderful view of the valley. On the way back we follow the sign Nr. 780 till Kaiblingalm. From here we follow a comfortable forest road until we get back to the mountain station.

Haus - Gumpenberg and Gumpen-valley– Haus: difficult

The tour begins behind SissiPark on the Hauserbergweg road. The way continuous on the tarmac road until Kronberghof and then further uphill to Knapplhof (sign 3) on the Grumpenberg. From here we can have a one hour by-pass to the Grumpen-valley where we can visit the chalets of Maierl-, Schmied- and Stanglalm pastures. The road leads back via Grumpen-valley (facing south), then towards Scharlingen. From here the road leads steeply to Dirtelhof and back to Haus.
