SUMMER IN THE ALPES: Tips for an Alpine Holiday

In the summer heat, many people head for the seaside, but for those looking for a cooler alternative, Austria’s Alpine regions offer an excellent option. The fresh, clean air, lush green forests, and crystal-clear lakes not only provide a pleasant escape from the heat but also refresh both body and mind.

What are the benefits of an alpine holiday?

The pleasantly cool temperatures reduce strain on the circulatory system, and the blue (water) and green (vegetation) elements found in nature have been proven to enhance mental rejuvenation and reduce stress.

At higher altitudes, the air is much cleaner and cooler, which feels especially refreshing during the summer heat. Time spent in the mountains not only revitalizes you but also has a positive effect on your overall health.

The Alps are a perfect destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, rowing, or mountaineering.

Austria’s bathing lakes are surrounded by crystal-clear waters, forests, and green meadows.

The peace and quiet of the mountains help you disconnect from the rush of everyday life. It’s an ideal choice for those seeking true relaxation and mental recharge. The unique flavors of alpine regions—cheeses, fresh dairy products, and traditional dishes—also add a special experience to your trip.
